In fifty days, I’ll be driving to Navasota, Texas for my favorite event of every year, to spend time with some of my favorite people on earth, to participate in meaningful discussion about some of our favorite authors and literature of all time and what they have to say to our time. Over the intervening weeks, I’ll be sharing related links in the unapologetic hope of enticing you to join us.
For starters, you can find details about the retreat at http://www.cslewis.org/programs/retreat/2012/; and information about the venue is available at http://www.campallen.org/.
Next, by way of introduction, here are the websites of the conference speakers, workshop leaders, and performers:

Camp Allen is lovely. The program is wonderful. The speakers, facilitators, and performers are top-notch. But the most amazing thing to me about this retreat and the people involved is the sense of community it fosters. Life-changing friendships that transcend gender, race, age, education, financial status, experience, denomination, and any other barrier you can imagine are born during these weekends. Come and see.
